The 'Delicious Obsession' blog is written and coordinated by mother of two and one on the way, Danielle. From perusing her blog we can say with confidence that Danielle's obsession is with being a mother and being a good one. Being a parent and being a good one is important to us as well so we thought she would be a great candidate to review our new merino hat and scarf combo. This combo is something that we love at the office here at babysleepbags, but until we start to get some outside feedback it's hard to know what everyone else is thinking. Here is a little insight from Danielle over at 'Delicious Obsession':

“When I received the Merino Kids Baby Hat & Scarf, the first thing I noticed was that it was made of soft material. It's made of a soft rib knit and it will be very soft and gentle on baby.”

“I really love the scarf - it has a flap that you can use to thread the scarf so it will stay on baby without coming undone. ”

So, it is'nt the most indepth analysis, but sometimes less is more and in this case just letting us know "I really love the scarf" is enough to keep us putting out the finest merino baby products available worldwide.

<![CDATA[Eco-babyz Welcomes The Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/eco-babyz-welcomes-baby-sleep-bag baby sleep sack review at offbeat mama

EcoBabyz is a place where you will find articles on many topics from: eco living tips, cloth diapering, education and homeschooling, legislation affecting parents and children, and the latest news on toxins and so much more. In fact there is not much that you wont find coming from the strong opinions of Anastasia. Whenever we are talking with strong minded highly opinionated bloggers it gives me butterflies in my stomach.

Even though our reviews are always positive, when it comes to a new review and the challenge to impress an impartial domineering mind like Anastassia's it leaves me queasy. This review was no different and I mean that in both ways. First, I was queasy and second, like always happens, the reviewer was impressed with the Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag.

Anastasia related to the need and practical use of merino in conjunction with the the function of a baby sleep sack design.

"We live in the Northeast of the United States...This summer our entire HVAC unit broke, so we'll be heating with space heaters the whole winter...I have to think of ways to keep our newborn and toddler warm at night this season. Thankfully Babysleepbags.com came to our rescue..."

"Parents also boast about how well their kids sleep in these sleep sacks! With a comfortable temperature naturally regulated throughout the night, your baby is likely to sleep longer. You will not be waking up to cover them and it is a perfect solution for especially wiggly babies who get around theirs crib as if they're dancing."

So to make a long story short we were once again worried about what a reviewer would think about our Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag and once again it held its own as the best baby sleep sack in the world. It just goes to show that it doesn't pay to worry. When you have a solid product and an exceptional collaboration of fabric, there is nothing to worry about. The same holds true for your baby. That is, use merino and worry less.

<![CDATA[Mommy and Me Giveaways Does an In-depth Merino Sleep Sack REview]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/mommy-and-me-sleep-sack-review-baby Baby Sleep Sack Review

Part-time worker and mother-of-two, Megan of Mommy and Me Giveaways is constantly on the lookout for the best products for your money. Having been a satisfied user of sleep bags from the beginning of her mummyhood, Megan was hesitant to give Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bags a try – that was until she discovered the benefits!

“The sleep bag…was a size Newborn to 24 months! I know what you’re thinking – it’s what I was thinking: ‘There is quite a size difference between a newborn and a 24 month old’. But it works. I am not even entirely sure what I mean by saying that, but I guess I want to convey that while there is plenty of extra room in it for my 2-month-old, it doesn’t overwhelm her. It has an optional snap that helps it fit nicely under her arm that I can discontinue using as she grows bigger.”

“I love the zipper on this sleepsack. Sleepsacks I’ve used before have a zipper that goes directly up the middle of the sack. The Merino Kids Sleep Bag has a zipper that starts on one side of the bottom of the sack, zips all the way under the sleep bag, then up the side of it to the armpit. I bet if I would have had this sleep bag with my two-year-old, she wouldn’t have gotten herself out of it as easily, if at all!”

Megan truly believes that you get what you pay for with the Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag. As an experienced bargain-hunter, she would know! Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Megan.

<![CDATA[Sleep Sack Review and Giveaway From Blogger Mom]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/sleep-sack-review-as-they-grow-up Merino Sleep sack Review and Giveaway

As They Grow Up writer, Samantha, personally loves Merino sleep sacks because she can rest assured knowing that her 4-month-old son is sleeping safely and soundly. The Merino Kids baby sleep sack design caters perfectly to Samantha and her family’s routines, including midnight nappy changes and winter morning car rides.

“'Im not saying that we haven't had wonderful sleep bags/sacks with Luke thus far, but none have been so easy and convenient to use!”

“I believe I appreciate the design of the Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag more in the mornings than any other time. The reason being is when we have to get out in the cold mornings to take my oldest to school, Luke can be picked up and put directly in his car seat with his sleep bag on. It has a special area that the car seat strap goes through. Not only do I know he is super secure but warm and cozy as well!”

Samantha considers herself to be a bit of a worrier, so genuinely appreciates the many ways that Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bags give her peace of mind.

“I like that I don't have to worry about him getting tangled up in a blanket or pulling it over his face while sleeping at night. He has the ability to move around but there is no way he can get his head covered or work his way out of it like he does [with] just a blanket or a swaddle.”

“With the ability to help regulate body temperature I never have to worry about my little guy getting too hot.”

Thanks, Samantha – your opinion means a lot to us!

<![CDATA[Review and Giveaway of Merino Kids Baby Sleep Sack by LuvesJurn3.com ]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/review-and-giveaway-merino-baby-sleep-sack Merino Sleep sack Review and Giveaway

Tricia the founder of LuvesJurn3.com has trialled a number of baby-care methods and products, and likes to share her favorite finds with her readers. Not only does the ‘Loves Journey’ blogger and mother of two rave about Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bags, her boys love them too!

“We are in love with this sleep sack! It is by far a favorite for both the boys.”

“One thing I really liked when I switched from using blankets to a sleep bag is that baby can’t wriggle out and wake up uncovered. They also don’t ride up over baby’s face. The 100% natural Merino Kids Baby Sleep Bag is known as the world’s finest baby sleep sack. Its remarkable natural merino fabric and award-winning design help your baby to sleep safely through the night. Now that’s music to any new mom’s ears!”

“Oreo, who is now 2.5, loves to wear it around the house and snuggle up in front of his favorite movie in the sleep bag. I love that it's getting used by both boys and with its amazing quality I know it will be around for many more years to come!”

Having trialled other methods, Tricia personally appreciates the benefits of Baby Sleep Bags, and regards them as “the perfect solution”.

“I love the ease of use and the top quality fabric. The fabric is super thick and very soft. We were using a bundle bag for our car seat that included a faux fur lining, poor Baby K got overheated in it and was very uncomfortable. [The baby sleep bag] regulated his temperature and made for a much more pleasant car ride.”

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Tricia!

Co-founder of ProjectNursery.com and mother of three, Pamela Ginocchio has a personal, “real mom” approach to her blog posts. Having been a new mother three times around, she knows the value of a good night’s sleep – for both herself and her little ones. When it comes to Merino Kids baby sleep bags, Pam has nothing but praise to dish out.

“Made of natural, cuddly soft and allergy-safe New Zealand merino, these sleep sacks are not only stylish but safe for your little one. The reason merino wool is such a great fiber for baby products is that it regulates temperature and circulates air to insulate your baby when the room temperature falls, and releases excess body heat and moisture as the room temperature rises, to create the perfect safe micro-climate around their body.”

<![CDATA[Inhabitots "Hoots" About Merino Kids Sleep Sack]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/inhabitots-sleep-sack-review Inhabitots Baby Sleep Sack Review

Freelance writer and founder of the ‘eco-friendly living’ blog known as Petite Planet, Beth Shea is also a mother – one who knows the ins and outs of baby sleep time. She raves about Merino Kids Baby Sleep Sacks for a number of reasons.

“By dressing my son in this sleep sack, I don’t have to worry about him kicking a blanket off and getting cold or whether or not he’ll unintentionally lift the blanket over his face during slumber. I also like the safety belt aperture built in to the design of the sleep sack, which enables parents to fasten baby’s car seat or stroller buckle through an opening in the front of the sleep sack so baby may transition from car or stroller to crib without having to change clothing or tote blankets.”

“I had not given a great deal of thought about the safety of the garment [my son] actually wore to sleep — (aside from it fitting well, being cozy, appropriately warm and easy to remove for midnight diaper changes). So when I was introduced to Merino Kids Baby Sleep Sacks, I was thrilled to know such a safe and suitable option existed for keeping babies safe while sleeping.”

Beth personally advocates eco-friendly ways of living in her blog. In her opinion, Merino Kids sleep sacks are the way to go.

“Natural fabrics like Merino wool are the best option for babies to sleep in because they are more breathable than synthetic fabrics — protecting against overheating.”

“I’d highly recommend giving the Merino Kids Sleep Sack as a gift to your baby to ensure their body temperature is properly regulated, and to keep them cozy through the season.”

Just quickly we wanted to post about Babycenter.com recognizing our merino sleep sack as the best! Now it is hard to get any recognition without being an everyday advertiser with them so this little blurb is quite impressive.

Elina Furman, publisher of Mamaista.com and author of over 20 books, is more than familiar with the intricacies of the ‘baby sleep time’ process. Not only is she a parenting lifestyle columnist, she is also a mother herself. Elina is a personal believer in sleeping bags from Merino Kids.

“I can’t recommend the Merino Kids all natural sleeping bags highly enough...The Merino Kids line goes up to toddler sizes and the bags regulate your child’s body temperature naturally (cool in summer and warm in winter) — that’s the power of premium wool. You have to see it to believe it!”

Elina is “constantly on the hunt for new stylish products”, and it looks as though Merino Kids Sleep Sacks have made the cut!

It is always nice to get such a positive review be it about our merino sleep sacks or our merino babywraps.

<![CDATA[Look At The Birds Sleep Sack Review ]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/look-at-the-birds-best-sleep-sack baby sleep sack review atlook at the birds

The look at the birds blog is written by a New England christian computer analyst mother with one young girl and a baby on the way. We like her review for a couple of reasons. She is straight to the point and eloquent so we will let her words do the explaining.

"first off, it's a well known fact that the use of sleep bags (in lieu of blankets) greatly reduces the risk of SIDS. so for no other reason, i love them.
it's also a well known fact that babies seem to have the coldest hands & feet in the world. seriously- like little ice cubes. and socks don't seem to cut it- they get kicked off and are rendered useless. and alex always manages to get her leg all twisted up in the one piece outfits. it's like a neverending battle.
well again- hello sleep bags! no kicking them off, no cold feet, reduced SIDS risk...and the list goes on. there are tons of sleep bags on the market but i'm pretty sure the Merino Kids Sleepbags are like the Mercedes Model. theyr'e gorgeous, soft, safe, warm, cool- whatever you need them to be (including stylish):"

Sounds good to us so far! What else does this educated christian mother have to say about the baby sleep sack?

"they're 100% natural & made from Merino. they're fire resistant & allergy safe. they're also super soft & safely work with your carseat & stroller.
they're an all around win win win.
i have a handfull of cotton sleep bags from BRU & such- and they always seemed to work for us. but when i got the Merino Sleep Bag i knew immediately that my ho-hum sleepbags are probably going to see very minimal use from now on. this thing is really gorgeous. and soft. and comfy. and WAY too small for me- alas.
but it's perfect for alex- and once alex is done with it, it'll be perfect for the baby bird#2 (in fact, i'm eyeing the Cocooi Babywrap for baby bird#2 until s/he can handle the sleepsack)
so basically what i'm saying, is that this sleepbag is pretty close to perfect (when it starts changing, feeding & putting my kids back to sleep- i will award it the totally perfect title)"

We thought this was a super cool review and worth sharing with our sleep sack community.

<![CDATA[Minnesota Mama's Must Have Merino Baby Sleep Sacks]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/minnesota-mama-baby-sleep-sack-review baby sleep sack review at offbeat mama

Minnesota Mama's Must Haves blog is written by Sarah a stay at home mom as well as a Registered Nurse. Sarah worked in Labor & Delivery before deciding to become a stay at home mom when she had her daughter. Her kids now are the light of her life and she loves having the privilege of staying home with them.

With Sarah's background as a nurse working with babies I think it is fair to say that her opinion is worth listening to.

"I am an avid user of baby sleep bags. I don't cover Aiden with blankets in the crib because it is unsafe and in order to prevent SIDS it is recommended that you not have any blankets in the crib. Being that we live in Minnesota and have very cold winters as well as chilly weather the majority of the year, having my baby in his crib without a blanket would not be possible without the use of a sleep bag. "

"It is made with superfine allergy-safe merino wool but it is definitely not scratchy on baby's skin. It is super soft material and is warm, cuddly and cozy. The 100% natural long staple cotton outer layer for extra durability makes it soft and smooth. It has a great slit opening in the front and back so your baby can safely wear it in the car seat, stroller, swing and more. This makes it really easy to go from car seat straight to bed!
I love that the should snaps also allow you to fold down the side of the sleep bag and nurse your baby without the risk of getting it soiled. This keeps it clean longer and you don't have to wash it as often!"

"The sleep bag is sized for 0-2 years old. I was really skeptical that it would actually fit my baby until he was two but the design is ingenious and really allows it to fit well at every stage. There is a snap that you can either snap or leave unsnapped for a perfect fit no matter their size."

Pros: Amazing quality, wool keeps baby dry and regulates temperature well in different climates, reduces risk of SIDS, fits ages 0-2 years.

Cons: The price may seem high but the quality is amazing and considering you don't have to buy several sizes and only need one size until age 2, the price is better than others. Think of what you'd spend on several sizes of other sleep bags up to age 2!

I think it is fair to say that she really can't find any 'Cons' with the Merino Kids baby sleep sack! Thanks so much for the review Sarah. We really appreciate your professional opinion as both nurse and mother.

<![CDATA[Updated: Merino Kids Baby Sleep Sack Review]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/updated-merino-kids-baby-sleep-sack-review Real Customer Updates Merino Kids Baby Sleeping Bag rating to 5 star and totally worth it

We are very close to our products here at babysleepbags.com and babysleepbags.co.uk and we get concerned that sometimes we are getting tunnel vision and only 'think' our merino sleep sacks are the best. Especially when we get reviews that are not 5 stars (which is rare). So when a reviewer that gave us a less than 100% review goes back to change to a 5 star review after actually using the product it confirms that we aren't 'too close' or have 'tunnel vision'. Check out the review below then the update:

"Positives: The product is well made and I like it. Negatives: This stripe which looked great in the picture, was difficult to look at in real life: for the first two weeks it made me feel dizzy when I looked at it. (not sure why that is) I think that 119 dollars for a well made sack which is made in China is very overpriced. "

UPDATE:

After using this product daily for the past year (excluding summer months) I can say that it has held up beautifully (still looks new).

I take back my previous comment re: overepriced. Seeing the use I have gotten out of it, the sleepsack was well worth every penny and I would buy it all over again.

Also I did not really beleive it, but it is true: my baby's diaper leaked the other night. the sleepsack was wet on the outside, but when I put my hand inside, the wool (against baby's body) was practically dry!!

Plus: when my baby puts on the sack, he knows it's time to go to bed.. nighttime ritual yada yada..

last word: sleepsack is a must have!

<![CDATA[Mother Blogger Toddler Sleep Sack Review and Video]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/mother-blogger-toddler-sleep-sack-review

Emily, a Minnesota blogging mother of two, has taken the time this week to review the Merino Kids toddler sleep sack. For the last couple of years we here at babysleepbags.com and babysleepbags.co.uk have been telling the world about merino sleep sacks for both baby and toddler. We dont often get reviews on the toddler products because we tend to focus so much on the baby sleep sack. The reality is that if you want your toddler to sleep better and longer a toddler sleep sack is the perfect way to ensure a good nights sleep for your toddler. Emily writes a lot in her review and rather than totally rewrite what she has said here we'll just give you what I think is the most important quote.

"Sleep sacks and swaddlers were a lifesaver for me when my boys were babies. Since I live in a rather cold climate (a.k.a. Minnesota), it was very important early on that I figure out a way to keep my boys warm, especially during the winter months. When they were very young I loved to swaddle them with a combination of both receiving blankets and swaddlers to keep them warm. I did everything I could to avoid those horribly cold hands if they broke free from a loose swaddle. When they outgrew swaddling I moved on to sleep sacks which always gave me piece of mind. But even now that my kids are a bit older I still find them often without any covers during naps and at night. I wish I would have discovered Merino sleep bags earlier but they do have a product perfect for my boys now!"

Baby daddy blogger Shane from Calgary is documenting all the stages of his baby's life via his blog at calgarydaddy.com. Shane recently got a hold of a merino baby sleep sack from Merino Kids and he was blown away by the quality construction and effectiveness of using merino with his baby.

Here is what the Calgary daddy had to say:

" Becky and I have used a few different brands/styles of sleepsacks for Kyron since he was born, with varying results. After using the Merino Kids sleepbag for a few weeks, we are amazed at the quality of this product. The Merino Kids line is made with such quality and durability in mind that I would never purchase another brand again. While the pricing may seem a little higher then some of the competition, the Merino Kids sleep bag really is a superior product and you definitely get what you pay for! "

"Becky and I really love the Merino Kids Sleepbag and would recommend it to any parent. The features and product quality really make is stand out from its competitors."

Awesome review Shane and many thanks for your time!

<![CDATA[Offbeat Mama Reviews The Best Baby Sleep Sack]]> http://www.babysleepbags.co.uk/baby-sleep-blog/offbeat-mama-baby-sleep-sack-review baby sleep sack review at offbeat mama

The Offbeat Mama blog is exactly what it sounds like. They are mothers that do not necessarily beat by the same drum as the average suburban, city or country mom.

Offbeat Mama doesn’t subscribe to any particular parenting philosophy or dogma, they believe that every family and situation is unique, and what works for one 'Offbeat Mama' in one situation may not work for another. However, one thing that even 'Offbeat Mama's' can agree on is the Merino Kids baby sleep sack. Read below what Offbeat Mama had to say

"At five months, Tavi's getting to that age where he's so excited about his increasing mobility that he's squidging non-stop in his sleep. A blanket laid over him when he goes to bed is a blanket that he's squirmed out from underneath in about half an hour. Or, even worse, he wakes up screaming with his blanket shifted over his face...Of course the solution is a sleep sack... "

"The design of the sleep sack is super solid, with a top that almost looks like little overalls. One of the straps unsnaps so that you can get it on a squirmy baby, and the bottom unzips for easy diaper changing access. The sleep sack has quickly become part of our nighttime routine: bath, sleep sack, book, nurse, bed. When the sleep sack goes on, little dude knows bed time approacheth.
Tavi can't kick the sleep sack off overnight, and unlike the synthetic fleece, with the wool he doesn't wake up in a little zipped up sack of his own sweat in the morning. Yay for breathable natural fibers! I know that living in Seattle, polar fleece is like our Official City Fabric, but I don't think I'd want to sleep in a sack of fleece — so why should the baby?"

"All 'n' all, I'm definitely happy with it...I can say Tavi's slept in the sack every night, and that I'm super happy to have him out of the polar fleece sweat sack."

Thanks for the sleep sack review! It's nice to get an 'offbeat' perspective!
